This hydroponics pump should be placed in the water reservoir at the bottom of the hydroponics system and fully submerged in water. You should connect the water tube to the nozzle of the pump and then place the other end of the tube in the top of the kit so the water can flow freely. Please note that if you run your pump while it is out of the water you will cause damage to it. This can lead to the pump producing loud noises or to stop working completely. These pumps if well looked after should last 12-36 months so be careful not to run them dry. One additional way to extend the life of your pump is to use it in conjunction with a timer that switches on and off the pump. The ideal runtime for a timer is 15 minutes on followed by 45 minutes rest. Don’t forget to always check your reservoir is fully filled and also check for algae growth. We recommend changing the nutrient solution in the reservoir once every 2-3 weeks.
